Progress
Week 1, Block 5
Hmmm... we've done some reading, but I think mostly what this week has been about is the outdoors. We've done some gardening, but I've really made an effort to spend the time outside. So, we've spent a couple of days around a rug outside. While the weather is nice, I'm trying to make the most of it. I spent a little while sketching a plan, and Puggle decided that he should be drawing too. So he got his writing things and had a lovely time drawing with me, on the blanket.
Bilby joined us which was lovely. I'm not sure quite how to manage her outdoors. She's not crawling, but she gets around very quickly—pulling herself across the ground. This is okay inside, but outside... she picks up grass and sand (and puts them in her mouth!). I do have her on a blanket, but she soon moves off it. I guess it will sort out soon—I don't expect it'll be much longer till she crawls, and then at least she'll be off the ground a bit more and her hands will be occupied:-)
We did also make bread. Puggle measured and stirred it, and kneaded one of the loaves the final time. We started at the wrong time, so he was asleep when the first kneading needed to happen. Better timing this week. Hopefully this block will get us back into the habit of breadmaking:-)
