Blogging Advent - Monday 18th
So, today we painted...
Growing up we had a string of stars that came out with the Christmas decorations. Mum and I made them when we lived in Bodallin (I think), I was about two or three.
I thought I'd do the same with Puggle. Last night I drafted some templates, but was too tired (and Bilby woke for feeding) t cut out the stars... so I had to do that this morning... That was a mistake, the boy was too restless for it to be straightforward (I need to be more prepared!) But otherwise, it went well.
I cut the stars from cereal/breadmix boxes. We then painted the first side before lunch, and the second after. While we were waiting for dinner to be ready, we then applied glitter glue.
I'm pretty pleased with how they look, you can tell which I did (I think on reflection I probably did too many stars, he didn't have the patience to do them all, in fact, he probably only did about a third). I have now glued tiny coloured pegs to the back, and tomorrow he can clip them to a string so that we can hang them up.
It's the first time that I've actually done painting with the boy at home (we've done it at co-op). It worked reasonably well—not too messy:-)
