Pancakes
So, we ended up with 12 and a half batches (9 SR flour, 2 plain flour, 1 dairy free, 1/2 vegan). That was for 14 adults and 8 children (I can't remember how many came last year).
I was happier with the construction—I didn't get flour all over the kitchen (paper curved into a funnel), add the egg and milk mixed together, then shake. But most of the batches had some lumps. They were better after extra shaking, so next year when people arrive and ask what they can do, I'll set them to shaking:-) I'm also thinking we should do some pancake races:-)
Next year, I think I want to do something for Collop Monday. Probably just with the family, but something.
(I'm not planning on doing anything about it, but scroll down to the 27th of February and check out Red Feather Day... so sweet:-( )
