All Terrain Baby
Bilby has been improving her commando crawl technique. She can now move at a great pace (faster even than another child of the same age when crawling!) She has started over the last two weeks, to work on getting up onto all fours, and over things (like the cushions her brother has thoughfully arranged as an obstacle course...)
She sleeps at least part of the time in a cot beside our bed. With the side dropped down it is a great co-sleeper (not that the mattress is level with the bed, it's close though, and not that the side is below the surface of the mattresses). So far, we've left the side of the cot down all the time... but no more!
Last night (during the time she was supposed to be asleep, beside me) she went up and over into the cot (its mattress is the lower one), and this morning, Paddington came out from his sleep in with her—she'd ooched her way out of the cot and over to him... She's growing up! The side of the cot is now up...
(She's also currently using Puggle's trolley of blocks as a walker—of course, she has to lure you into helping her stand, her favourite position, and to do so near enough to the trolley for her to reach out and grab it... heady stuff:-) ).
